Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss announced that the Coyotes are partnering with the Phoenix affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to host Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, Oct. 27 when the Coyotes host the Dallas Stars at Jobing.com Arena. The first 250 breast cancer survivors in attendance will receive a pink rose.
LPGA golfer and 2007 U.S. Women’s Open champion Cristie Kerr will be in attendance for a special pre-game presentation. Kerr, the No. 5 ranked women’s golfer in the world, will also sign a limited number of autographs during the first intermission and will appear on the Coyotes official radio broadcast during the second intermission.
Kerr’s foundation, Birdies for Breast Cancer, will make a donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure every time Coyotes forward Peter Mueller scores a goal this season in support of Coyotes Causes.
Coyotes Causes is a monthly program dedicated to partnerships among the Coyotes and various non-profit organizations to support community outreach initiatives from October through March.
Mueller will serve as team spokesman for this special night as this cause has personally impacted someone in his life. A PSA featuring Mueller will air on the video board prior to the start of the game. In addition, special silent auctions featuring a pink ribbon Coyotes jersey signed by Mueller will take place at the Coyotes Causes table in the concourse at Jobing.com Arena throughout the game.
Representatives from Susan G. Komen will be in attendance at the Coyotes Causes table in the main concourse outside of Section 116 to distribute Breast Cancer awareness materials to fans.
Prior to the game, The Pack Dance Team will be autographing “Pack in Pink” pictures in the main concourse, which will be available for a $5 donation to the Phoenix affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Special ticket discounts are available for this game with up to $5 from each ticket purchased going directly to the Phoenix affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Tickets also include a free commemorative pink Coyotes hat (one per ticket). Contact Scott Schiff at (623) 772-3461 or Scott.Schiff@PhoenixCoyotes.com
