GLENDALE, ARIZONA – The Phoenix Coyotes will host the Columbus Blue Jackets at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Arena in Glendale in their first home game of the 2009-10 season. To celebrate the beginning of the NHL season, all fans are encouraged to wear white to the sold-out game to create the first-ever “WhiteOut” at Arena. WhiteoutThe Coyotes, who enter tomorrow’s game with a record of 2-1-0 on the season thus far, have won each of their last five home openers.

The Opening Night festivities will begin on the Westgate Plaza in front of Arena at 4 p.m. with performances by the Gila River Gaming Enterprises Showgirls and live music from the band, Agent Audio. The pre-game events outside the Arena will be hosted by XTRA Sports 910’s Mike Bauer.

In addition, McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon – Glendale, located at 9425 West Coyotes Blvd. in Westgate City Center, will host a Coyotes Opening Night Viewing Party for fans that are unable to purchase a ticket to the game. McFadden’s will be offering two-for-one drink specials for Coyotes fans during the game.

Prior to the game, the Save The Coyotes Coalition will be hosting a tailgate party in Parking Lot J and is inviting all fans to join in the fun. A complete list of Arena’s tailgating guidelines can be found at

Coyotes Charities are returning with "Mystery Pucks" that will be available for purchase at the Coyotes Community Corner near the Coyotes Den team store. Each wrapped puck is signed by a Coyotes player with a select number containing a special gold-colored signature. Fans who pick a gold-signed puck will also receive an additional prize. Mystery Pucks will be sold for a $20 donation to Coyotes Charities, which will also be promoting “Hockey Fights Cancer Month” throughout October by giving away pink cause bracelets and HFC pins.

The Coyotes’ next home game is Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. versus the St. Louis Blues. The team offers a variety of full and partial season ticket packages starting at only $9 a game, as well as a variety of individual game ticket specials.
