GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Ryan White to a one-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"We are very pleased to sign Ryan to a one-year contract," said Chayka. "Ryan is a feisty forward who plays with an edge. He is a versatile player who will upgrade a lot of areas for our team.”
The 28-year-old White registered 11-5-16 with 101 penalty minutes (PIM) in 73 games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season. White’s 11 goals and 16 points were both single season career-highs. The Brandon, Manitoba native has totaled 22-23-45 with 363 PIM in 248 career NHL games over seven seasons with the Montreal Canadiens and Flyers.
The 6-foot, 201-pound forward was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the third round (66th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.
