GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Brandon McMillan to a one-year, two-way contract and forward Jordan Szwarz to a two-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound McMillan recorded 2-4-6 and four penalty minutes (PIM) in 22 games with the Coyotes last season. The 24-year-old native of Richmond, British Columbia also registered 11-15-26 and 76 PIM in 46 games with Portland (AHL).
McMillan has totaled 13-19-32 and 44 PIM in 113 career NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks and Coyotes. He was originally drafted by the Ducks in the third round (85th overall) in the 2008 Entry Draft.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Szwarz recorded 3-0-3 and 19 PIM in 26 games with the Coyotes last season. The 23-year-old native of Burlington, Ont., also registered 8-6-14 and 55 PIM in 27 games with the Pirates while serving as team captain. Szwarz was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
