GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-assigned right wing Bill Thomas to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Thomas, 24, has played in seven games for the Coyotes this season. He has also recorded 16-16-32 and 28 penalty minutes (PIM) in 46 games with the Rampage.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas registered 8-6-14 and 2 PIM in 24 games for the Coyotes last season.  He also appeared in 47 games for San Antonio, recording 13-20-33 and was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game but was unable to participate due to a call-up to Phoenix.

Thomas made his NHL debut on Mar. 28, 2006 after signing with the Coyotes as a free agent.  The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has collected 9-8-17 in 40 career NHL games.
