COYOTES PARTNER WITH DECLARE YOURSELF CAMPAIGN

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Phoenix Coyotes have partnered with Declare Yourself – a national non-partisan, non-profit campaign – to empower and encourage every eligible American 18-years-of-age and older to register and vote in the 2008 presidential election this November.

“The message is simple: register and vote,” said Sarah Finecey, director of community relations for the Coyotes. “Our goal is to get people to educate themselves about the candidates and issues that are important to them and to go out and vote on Election Day.”

The Coyotes launched the campaign at Saturday’s preseason game against the Anaheim Ducks at Jobing.com Arena. The campaign includes a public service announcement featuring Coyotes players that will play at all Coyotes home games and online at www.phoenixcoyotes.com/vote through the election. Fans can also register to vote at Coyotes’ preseason home games by picking up a registration form at any guest services booth.

Founded in 2003 by television producer and philanthropist Norman Lear, the Declare Yourself campaign registered over one million young people in the 2004 and 2006 elections. Other corporate partners include Cricket, Yahoo!, MySpace, Google, AOL, Clear Channel, Comedy Central and American Eagle Outfitters.
