Commercial Spots Feature Pierre The Fanatic Hockey Snowman

Phoenix Coyotes Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Bucek has announced the launch of the team’s new “Hockey Headquarters - All Things Hockey ” television advertising campaign starring Pierre The Fanatic Hockey Snowman.
 
The spots mark the official debut of Pierre the Fanatic Hockey Snowman who was drafted out of Chicoutimi, Quebec Canada to up the entertainment level of the Coyotes brand.  At 2’1” and weighing in at four lbs, Pierre truly believes he can play for Coach Wayne Gretzky and the Coyotes, even though he has no legs.
 
The first new ad, “Scoring Title,” features Pierre alongside Coyotes television color analyst Darren Pang discussing his quest to break Gretzky’s all-time goal scoring mark. The second ad, “Telepathic Link” stars defenseman Keith Ballard discussing game strategy with Pierre.  In the third ad, “Checking Line,” Pierre introduces Head Coach Wayne Gretzky to his two new defensemen, who also have no legs.
 
The commercials are currently airing on local cable and network outlets and will continue throughout the hockey season. Additional spots will be released later this year and Pierre will also be incorporated into game-night entertainment at Jobing.com Arena.
 
The spots, which can be viewed at http://coyotes.nhl.com/multimedia/tv_commercials.htm, were written by local marketing agency, Blind Society and produced by Joe Blow Productions.
