As the Phoenix Coyotes prepare for the upcoming 2007 NHL Entry Draft, will begin daily ‘scouting reports,’ looking at a three potential draftees in a new feature titled: “Coyotes Draft Preview.”

In this installment of “Coyotes Draft Preview”, takes a closer look at the 23rd, 24th & 25th ranked North American Skaters, as compiled by Central Scouting’s Final Rankings.

Notes: Spent time last season with his Grand Rapids high school team (36 points in 17 games) and Tri-City of the USHL (9 points in 12 games)...a skilled forward with the ability to make a difference...strong player with a physical presence...plays tough in the corners and in good on the right wing and gets his wrist shot off with ease...sometimes lacks urgency  in his play.

Ranked: 24th among North American Skaters

Notes: Scored 59 points (23 goals, 36 assists) in 61 games with Kitchener last season...has good energy and the ability to make plays...willing to tkae the puck into traffic and battles at both ends of the ice...tracks down rebounds and makes plays around the net...good in the face-off circle and penalty kill...needs to increase his physical presence and his ability to protect the puck...needs to improve his footwork and mobility.

Weight: 200 lbs.
Position: Defense
Shoots: Left
Ranked: 25th among North American Skaters

Notes: Recorded 60 points (13 goals, 47 assists) in 53 games with Lincoln last season...a skilled offensive defenseman...has good puck skills and good shot from the point...makes good passes and sees the ice well...needs to improve his defensive positioning and the consistency of his work ethic.
