GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have activated forward Scottie Upshall off of Injured Reserve.

Upshall, 26, has registered 14-10-24 and 40 penalty minutes (PIM) in 41 games this season. He leads the team in goals and ranks 4th in points. Upshall missed the Coyotes’ last three games with an upper body injury.

Upshall, who was acquired from Philadelphia with a second round choice in the 2011 Entry Draft for Daniel Carcillo on Mar. 4, 2009, has recorded 60-70-130 and 263 PIM in 271 career NHL games with Nashville, Philadelphia and Phoenix. Upshall also earned a silver medal while representing Canada at the 2009 World Championship in Switzerland. A native of Fort McMurray, Alberta, he was originally selected by Nashville in the first round (6th overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.

The Coyotes return to action at 7 p.m. tomorrow when they host the San Jose Sharks at Arena. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona and broadcast on XTRA Sports 910.
