CANADA SKATES TO 3-2 WIN OVER GERMANY

On Saturday morning, the 2007 World Championships continued with Shane Doan and Team Canada posting a 3-2 victory over Germany.


Team Canada captain Shane Doan was held without a point, but did register three shots on goal and four penalty minutes (high sticking and hooking).

Canada’s next contest will come on Monday morning against Norway.

In other games on Saturday, Slovakia defeated Norway (3-0), Sweden crushed Italy (7-1) and Switzerland topped Latvia (2-1).

SUNDAY’S GAMES:
Tomorrow, Coyotes’ forward Niko Kapanen and defensemen Keith Ballard and Zbynek Michalek will all try to remain unbeaten as Finland takes on Denmark, the Czech Republic faces Austria and Team USA takes on Belarus.
