In their return to Lewiston, Maine, on Nov. 14, the Portland Pirates had the lead for most of the game, but three Worcester goals in the final 10 minutes of play sealed the 4-2 win for the Sharks.

Rob Klinkhammer scored both of Portland's goals, giving him five on the year and two multi-goal games on the season.

Goalie Mark Visentin took the loss for the Pirates, allowing three goals on 31 shots.

• On Nov. 16, goalie Chad Johnson returned to Connecticut and had 29 saves on 30 shots against his former team, losing a shutout with only 36 seconds left in a 2-1 win by Portland.

Portland’s offense was supplied by Alexandre Bolduc, who scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season, and Chris Brown, who scored his fifth.

• On Nov. 17, the Pirates were unable to overcome strong goaltending by Niklas Svedberg despite putting 36 shots on goal, falling to the Providence Bruins 2-1.

Phil Lane had the goal for the Pirates in the loss, and Visentin stopped 24 of 26 shots.

Five prospects are playing for the Gwinnett Gladiators:

• Goalie Mike Lee is 8-3-1 with a 1.83 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage.

• Goalie Louis Domingue is 2-1-0 with a 3.69 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage.

• Forward Evan Bloodoff has six goals and five assists in 13 games.

• Defenseman Justin Weller has one goal in 13 games.

• Forward Maxime Villemaire has played four games and is minus-2.


Defenseman David Schlemko and forward Kyle Chipchura are playing for the Arizona Sundogs during the NHL lockout.

Eight prospects are playing junior hockey for Canadian Hockey League teams:

• Forward Andrew Fritsch has nine goals and 12 assists in 23 games for Sault Ste. Marie (OHL)

• Defenseman Justin Hache has 11 assists in 24 games for Cape Breton (QMJHL)

• Forward Kale Kessy has seven goals and five assists in 13 games for Vancouver (WHL)

• Forward Lucas Lessio (injured) has seven goals and six assists in 13 games for Oshawa (OHL)

• Defenseman James Melindy has two goals and five assists in 22 games for Moncton (QMJHL)

• Defenseman Connor Murphy has three goals and five assists in 22 games for Sarnia (OHL)

• Forward Henrik Samuelsson has 11 goals and 12 assists in 22 games for Edmonton (WHL)

• Goalie Marek Langhamer is 4-5-1 with a 3.49 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage for Medicine Hat (WHL)


• Forward Samuel "Hunter" Fejes has one goal and three assists in 12 games for Colorado College (WCHA)

• Defenseman Rhett Holland has played three games for Michigan State (CCHA)

• Forward Zac Larraza has one goal and four assists in nine games for University of Denver (WCHA)


• Forward Viktor Tikhonov has five goals and seven assists in 17 games for St. Petersburg.

European Elite Leagues

• Defenseman Jonas Ahnelov has one assist in 22 games for Modo (SWE)

• Forward Vladimir Ruzicka has three goals and 11 assists in 20 games for Slavia Praha (CZECH)

Finnish Leagues

• Forward Alexander Ruuttu has seven goals and eight assists in 16 games for Kiekko-Vantaa (FIN D1) and has played four games for Jokerit (SM-liiga)

• Defenseman Niklas Tikkinen has six assists in three games for Espoo (Jr. A SM-liiga), three assists in seven games for Espoo (SM-liiga) and one goal and two assists in five games for HCK (Finland2).
