GLENDALE, ARIZONA – The Phoenix Coyotes will host the Detroit Red Wings at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 14 at Arena in Game 1 of their Western Conference Quarter-Final series. Fans are encouraged to come to the game dressed in white in honor of the Coyotes’ “WhiteOut” tradition. However, all fans in attendance at the game will receive a free 2010 WhiteOut t-shirt courtesy of Fry’s Food Stores.

The pre-game festivities will begin on the Westgate Plaza in front of Arena at 4 p.m. with live music from the band, Halocene. In addition, XTRA Sports 910’s “Bickley & MJ Show” with Dan Bickley and Mike Jurecki will broadcast live on the plaza from 2-6 p.m. Aramark will have food and beverages for sale on the plaza and the Coyotes Den will be selling merchandise, including new WhiteOut items, both inside and outside of the Arena.

Coyotes Charities will be auctioning off a variety of WhiteOut-themed items to raise money, including autographed WhiteOut jerseys and hats, which will be available for bidding at the Coyotes Community Corner near the Coyotes Den team store on the main concourse. They will also be selling autographed “Mystery Pucks” at the Community Corner. Prior to the game on the plaza, Coyotes Charities will be selling WhiteOut rally towels, wigs, noisemakers, and leis, and will also have a face painter and white hair spray available for fans. All proceeds will benefit Coyotes Charities, which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life throughout Arizona communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote healthcare, education, cultural arts and sports-related programs for children. In addition, fans can enter the Arena by walking a white carpet through the inflatable Coyotes head outside Gate 4.

The Arena doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. puck drop. For those unable to attend the game, they can still join in the excitement by attending the Bud Light Viewing Party at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, located in the Westgate City Center next door to the Arena.
