Mountain America Credit Union and the Arizona Coyotes have partnered to support Southwest Human Development, the largest early childhood development non-profit in Arizona. Southwest Human Development provides critical resources to 140,000 children and their families.
Little Free Library® Book Drive
Across the Valley, we're looking to foster the love of reading in every child. Many low-income families don't have the resources or access to books to begin introducing their children to reading. This initiative will provide books to children in low-income families so that these children have a book to call their own. Whether you donate one book or 320 books, every book can make a difference in a child's life.
Mountain America Credit Union, in partnership with Southwest Human Development, has opened six Little Free Libraries®. Located in Mountain America branches, these free libraries make it easy to share books to help children and families succeed. Simply stop by a Mountain America location today to pick up or drop off a book. You can also donate below.
Planting a garden can be as easy as three steps, and so can giving children early access to free books. To minimize "book deserts" around the Valley were families in poverty lack the adequate quantity and quality of books for their children to access, building a Litte Free Library® Kit allows children to "take one, leave one" book stations. Providing children this resource is easy and can be broken into three steps.
