The Coyotes support many different programs that impact over 300,000 youth in the Valley. The curriculum of the youth programs teaches fundamentals, teamwork, and aims to build future leaders. The programs have generated almost 50% growth in youth hockey programs in Arizona the last 5 years including 60% growth in girl's youth hockey enrollment. Little Howlers Hockey is an on-ice youth hockey program hosted in cooperation with the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Development Program, the National Hockey League, USA Hockey, CCM and local hockey rinks. For $250, kids get 6 on-ice sessions, USA Hockey registration, a ticket to a Coyotes home game, Membership to Howlers Kids Club, Weekly Attendance gifts, and a full set of hockey equipment!
Upon completion of the Little Howlers program, the Arizona Coyotes offer a continue-to-play program called Howlers 2nd Stride which focuses on the next level of skill development. This program includes a new jersey plus nine weeks of on-ice instruction preparing them for the next step in their hockey journey!
Small Frys program is designed to provide girls ages 6-12 who have completed Little Howlers or a equivalent learn-to-play program. Small Frys is a place to continue their hockey development with other girls. The program is 20 weeks long and split into three six to eight week sessions. Once girls complete the Small Frys program they are then moved to a team within the Kachina's Hockey Association
The Arizona Kachinas are committed to providing girls within Arizona and the Rocky Mountain region with a safe, competitive environment while promoting the enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of hockey. Advocate USA Hockey core values and support Arizona Amateur Hockey Association's stated purpose. In addition, encompass partnerships with all hockey associations in the state of Arizona.
The Arizona Coyotes, the NHL, the NHLPA and Behind the Mask are excited to launch the new Arizona Coyotes Growlers, an Adult Learn to Play program for brand new hockey players ages 18 and older! This program is exclusively for adults who have NEVER played hockey before, looking to start playing the best game in the world!
In an effort to reach more students through Street Hockey, the Arizona Coyotes are developing three to six day elementary and middle school curriculums to provide to PE teachers around Maricopy County and Tucson. Within the first three years, the Raise the Pack curriculum has reached 667 elementary and middle schools.
The mobile tour is designed to travel around Arizona events to promote the Coyotes and the great game of hockey. Events can include races, festivals, school carnivals, food tastings, parades, and more. At the events, kids are encouraged to spend time in the Street Hockey rink, learning to play the game.
