ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals will host Hockey ‘n Heels on Monday, Feb. 18, from 6-9 p.m. at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The event is held exclusively for Club Scarlet members and features instructional lessons and on-ice demonstrations targeted towards the Capitals female audience.
Hockey ‘n Heels is held each season and provides female fans the opportunity to learn about hockey from players and coaches. Previous Hockey ‘n Heels have sold out within minutes.
Fans interested in attending Hockey ‘n Heels may purchase tickets by visiting the Club Scarlet website at http://scarletcaps.com beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11. Tickets for this year’s event are $65. Club Scarlet membership is free.
The evening will be divided into five sessions. The first two sessions will be on-ice demonstrations featuring instruction from current and former Capitals players on passing, shooting and face-offs.
Strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish will lead a third session on hockey and player fitness. A fourth session will be a demonstration on equipment in the Caps locker room, followed by a film session where the women will learn how to break down film to understand and analyze different aspects of the game. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to take a photo with forward Jay Beagle.
Founded in 2009, Club Scarlet is a fan club for women designed to provide more information, events and networking opportunities for the team’s population of female fans.
