Tuesday's Capitals Game Moved from NewsChannel 8

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Due to the Presidential State of the Union Address scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 31, NewsChannel 8 will be unable to televise the Washington Capitals game against the New York Islanders in the Washington, D.C., area.

In an effort to make the game available to as many Capitals fans as possible, Comcast SportsNet is working with MHz networks to broadcast the game on the MHz2 network. However, due to technical issues, the game will not be available on all systems in the area. The game will remain on CN8 in the Baltimore area and on Millenium Cable channel 97 in Anne Arundel County as originally scheduled.

The game will be rebroadcast in its entirety on Comcast SportsNet at 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
