ARLINGTON, Va. – January 14, 2008 – Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin, defenseman Mike Green and assistant coach Dean Evason will be at Williamsburg Middle School in Arlington, Va., on Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m to participate in the Capitals Hockey School program. Ovechkin, Green and Evason will be directing a floor hockey session in the school’s gym with about 125 sixth-grade students.

The assembly will start with Evason leading the players in a question-and-answer session with the students. It will also include a demonstration period with Ovechkin and Green. The event will close with several students and teachers participating in a brief scrimmage.

Ovechkin, who was recently named to his second NHL All-Star Game and signed to a 13-year contract extension, leads the Capitals in goals and points. Green, who played in the NHL YoungStars Game last season, currently leads all NHL defensemen with 12 goals, good for second on the Caps behind Ovechkin.
