Washington D.C. –
Caps fans packed the ESPN Zone in downtown Washington, D.C., on Jan. 30 as radio play-by-play announcer Steve Kolbe held a question-and-answer session with Capitals defenseman Mike Green
at the restaurant. The session included several trivia questions where fans were able to win ESPN Zone hats and shirts signed by Green and a drawing where one fan received a hockey stick autographed by the team and one fan received Caps game tickets. Upon the conclusion of the session, Green signed autographs and took pictures with fans.
ESPN Zone has also provided a Capitals-branded Dream Seat that will be raffled off to one lucky Caps fan after all of the team’s ESPN Zone visits are finished. Any fan that attends the player visits at ESPN Zone can sign up free of charge to enter the drawing. All of the players who appear at the ESPN Zone visits will sit in the chair and autograph it.
The Capitals will have three more player visits at ESPN Zone this season. Brooks Laich
is scheduled to visit ESPN Zone in downtown D.C. on Feb. 11 and Shaone Morrisonn will visit ESPN Zone in Baltimore on Feb. 21. The final visit by a soon-to-be determined Caps player will be at the downtown D.C. location on Feb. 25. Check WashingtonCaps.com or espnzone.com closer to the dates for more information.
