WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Capitals will be hosting a U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame display on Wednesday, Feb. 21, when the team takes on the San Jose Sharks at the Verizon Center. The display will showcase several autographed collectibles from the Hall of Fame and will be located on the main concourse behind section 104.
Featured items will include a marquee poster from the movie “Miracle” autographed by each member of the 1980 Olympic team and framed in real hockey sticks. Also on hand will be a commissioned art print honoring the 1960 men’s, 1980 men’s and 1998 women’s ice hockey teams – all three gold medals won in US Olympic history – hand-signed by all 57 surviving members of the teams. These items can be purchased as a fundraising effort to support the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame or for a chance to win in a drawing at www.ushockeyhall.com.
The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame’s mission is to honor, recognize and celebrate contributions to U.S. hockey and is currently traveling to each NHL city to connect with hockey fans. Visit www.ushockeyhall.com for more information and to learn more about the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
