Capitals Players to Spread Holiday Cheer at Miracle on Seventh Street

Biron, Pettinger and Willsie to Participate in Community Event Washington, D.C. – December 23, 2005 – Three Washington Capitals players – defenseman Mathieu Biron, left wing Matt Pettinger and right wing Brian Willsie – and their families will spend Christmas Day with 400 underprivileged children and their families at District ChopHouse & Brewery in downtown Washington, D.C. The District ChopHouse & Brewery is working through the Rock Bottom Foundation and partnering with The Child and Family Services Agency of Washington, D.C., for their third annual Miracle on Seventh Street event.
Volunteers from organizations throughout the city will serve the families roast turkey, ham, vegetables, mashed potatoes and cookies from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The families will also enjoy a visit from Biron, Pettinger and Willsie, who will be assisting in the restaurant throughout the day, and Santa Claus. Every family will be presented with Christmas gifts including a backpack from the Capitals, toys from Toys for Tots, clothing, groceries, toiletries and other essential supplies.
