Capitals' Movie Trailer to Debut at Local Theaters

Advertisement on More Than 180 Screens for 13 Weeks
Washington, D.C. – December 13, 2005 – The Washington Capitals will debut an advertisement specifically for local movie theaters on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005. The advertisement will run for 13 weeks on more than 180 movie screens in Maryland and Virginia and one in Washington, D.C., at the Gallery Place movie theater next to the MCI Center.
The movie trailer, which is about 30 seconds long, is tailored to mimic movie previews and shows Capitals hockey highlights with movie review-type praises interspersed. The trailer will play about 15 minutes before show time and will run before every movie in every theater of the select AMC and Regal Cinemas theaters. Each of the selected theaters listed below are high-definition capable to maximize the impact of the footage.
The Capitals will also have concession stand plasma boards in all theaters except two, playing the same movie trailer two to three times per hour. In addition there will be advertisement slides at AMC Union Station 9 (Washington, D.C.), AMC Rivertown 12 (Riverton, Md.) and AMC Academy 8 (Greenbelt, Md.).
