The 5th annual Washington Capitals College Hockey Fair took place on Saturday, April 2, at the Verizon Center. The College Hockey Fair is a free event for local high school hockey players in the Washington, D.C. area. The event provided the amateur players and their parents with an opportunity to meet and gain valuable insight from coaches in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The event is designed to help local players learn what opportunities they have at the college level and what is required to take advantage of them. This year, 38 colleges were represented at the fair and 12 college coaches spoke or gave presentations to the 300 registered players in attendance.
