The auction will open at noon on Tuesday, June 28, on Handbid and will conclude 15 minutes after the Capitals Alumni Exhibition game at Kettler Capitals Iceplex ends on Wednesday, June 29. Pedal For Hope is the charity of choice for Caps alumnus John Druce, who lost his daughter Courtney to cancer in April 2016. In 2005 Pedal For Hope was born from Cops for Cancer. For three weeks each year, the Peterborough, Ontario, Pedal For Hope team cycles 1,000 kilometers, visiting local schools delivering a message about kids living with cancer. A presentation in each school takes on a serious side about how important it is to support pediatric cancer research. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
