Boyd Gordon at Legg Mason Tennis Classic

Boyd Gordon attended the Legg Mason Tennis Classic’s National Parks Recreation Family Day in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Aug. 10. Gordon signed autographs, posed for pictures and chatted with fans about the upcoming season.

Gordon was introduced to main draw singles player Marcel Granollers, who is a 22-year old from Barcelona, Spain, and seeded eighth in the tournament.

Slapshot was also on hand to mingle with fans at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center and showcased his forehand during an accuracy drill on the practice courts.

The Caps will return to the tournament grounds on Thursday, Aug. 14, for Washington Capitals Appreciation Night. NHL coach of the year Bruce Boudreau, captain Chris Clark and forward Matt Bradley will take part in an on-court presentation. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Caps.
