Summer lovin'

by Derek Jory / Vancouver Canucks
Don’t look now, but the end of summer is near.

In a few days we’ll turn over our calendars to August, which means September is coming in hot. September is all about training camp and who slots in where for the Vancouver Canucks as they assemble their team for the 2015-16 season.

Before things get too serious, we’d like to take a look back at what the Canucks have been up to this summer.

Note to self: get more Canucks on social media…I’m looking at you Hansen, Higgins, Sedins, Edler, Hamhuis, Sbisa & Tanev!

It seems one Brandon Prust has had quite an eventful few months, excluding his trade from Montreal to Vancouver. He began his off-season working a new summer job:

Prust was then a groomsman for a wedding, we assume, the tweet was short on detail:

It seems Prust stayed in the wedding mood as he proposed to his girlfriend Maripier Morin a few weeks later, while on vacation. Congrats!

The vacation ended in Italy at a place so fancy it’s tough to pronounce. Swanky digs!

And last but not least, an announcement from Maripier Morin, who starred alongside Prust in Hockey Wives last season:

Speaking of Hockey Wives, Noureen DeWulf will be returning for Season 2, and Ryan Miller will undoubtedly make a few cameos. What has this couple been up to all summer? Bodhi, their adorable four-month-old, that’s what.

All the focus on Bodhi has ruffled some fur, however:

Yes the dog days of summer made for some twitter tranquility for the Canucks; the guys have been off their phones so much, some feel like they’re missing out:

Then there’s Jacob Markstrom. He fishes like a boss.
