SUMMARY: As a Retail Supervisor you will be empowered to make customer related decisions and coach the part-time staff with respect to achieving event sales goals, housekeeping, and customer service. A large part of your job will be visual merchandizing, where you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing Team Store and kiosk displays and managing product change-over. This position will primarily provide coverage for the full-time Retail Supervisors. As such the successful candidate will need to be able to work a flexible schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Ensure selling areas are clean and visually attractive
  • Ensure staff are completing tasks such as re-stocking merchandise, size ordering, price tagging, and maintaining merchandise displays throughout their shift
  • Provide performance feedback to part-time employees in accordance with company policies
  • Assist with employee recognition and implement regular incentive programs
  • Assist with planning and execution of staff social functions
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Deal with customer questions and concerns
  • Maintain Distribution Centre and Warehouse cleanliness and organization before and after events
  • Coordinate test counts and product regroups as requested
  • Participate with inventory counts
  • Working with the Retail Buyer, Retail Supervisors, and Retail Operations Manager to ensure visual merchandising is done regularly and efficiently, keeping the kiosks looking fresh and maximizing the space of the kiosk. While effectively catching the eye
  • Preparing for promotional events and dismantling displays at the end of the promotional periods

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ customer service supervisory experience
  • Completion of post secondary courses in business or a related field an asset
  • Must be able to cover day, evening and weekend shifts as needed
  • Must be able to work Canucks home games and events as needed
  • Proven leadership skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and to take on tasks independently
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated and eager to learn more about our unique retail industry
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
