The Finale.

It's unfortunate the way the tournament ended. All the guys were super disappointed with the loss to Finland. They scored some fortunate goals and Rinne played very well stopping almost 50 shots.

Leading up to the game we felt very good about our position, but unfortunately one game elimination can go either way and be heartbreaking.

As soon as we were finished it took awhile getting out of the dressing room. We had about 2.5 hours to get back to hotel and pack our bags to meet in the lobby at 3 am for a flight out of Belarus. All the players, coaches and families flew to Zurich together and from there everyone went their separate ways. Some guys went back home and some stayed in Europe to travel. I, on the other hand, had a flight plan that lead me right to a place with a little sun, a little beach, and no shortage of peanut butter!

The tournament was a lot of fun. Such a great experience that I'll never forget. I'm honored to have been a part of that team. However, this time of the year next season, I want to be still playing in Vancouver!

Thanks for reading, commenting and cheering us on. See you in the fall, if not before!
