Game 2: Monarchs 2 – Comets 1 (OT)
- After being scratched the last three games, Nicklas Jensen made a strong case for him to stay in the lineup with his early second period goal. The 22-year-old stole the puck at the blue line and wired it past Monarchs goaltender Jean Francois-Berube.
- In eight games coming off a loss, Jacob Markstrom has allowed two goals or less in all eight of those games.
- The Comets are now 3-5 in overtime games these playoffs, while also losing five of their last six games that have gone past regulation.
