-The Devils tied it up before the period was out with a power-play marker.
-The score remained 1-1 heading into overtime, where some hard fore-checking by Mike Zalewski resulted in Zalewski creating a turnover, then making a nifty move and dishing the puck off to Grenier all alone in front where he was able to one-time the puck on his backhand and into the net midway through the first overtime.
-Joe Cannata started his first career AHL post-season game between the barber poles for the Comets, stopping 27-of-28 shots fired his way.
-The Comets outshot the Devils 30-28, including 7-3 in the overtime period.
Game 4: Devils 6 – Comets 3

-Alex Grenier scored for the second straight game, putting the Comets on the board late in the second period.
-Trailing 5-1 at the start of the final frame, Alex Friesen and T.J. Hensick tallied less than five minutes apart to cut the deficit to 5-3, but it was too little, too late as the Devils would add an empty-netter with 2:17 left on the clock to seal the deal.
-Grenier, Travis Ehrhardt, David Shields, Jon Landry, Jordan Subban, and Joe Labate all picked up assists in the game.
-Joe Cannata surrendered five goals on 28 shots before being replaced by Richard Bachman in the third period. Bachman stopped all five shots he faced in the final frame.
