Canucks reassign centres Marc Chouinard and Brad Moran

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have reassigned centres Marc Chouinard and Brad Moran to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Chouinard, 29, has registered four points (2-2-4) and 10 penalty minutes in 42 games played for the Canucks this season. The six-year NHL veteran has seen time with three teams, posting 37 goals and 41 assists for a total of 78 points in 320 career games played.

The 6'5", 206 lbs. native of Charlesbourg, Quebec, was signed by the Canucks as an unrestricted free agent on July 20, 2006.

Moran, 27, has played in three games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2006-07, registering one point (0-1-1). He will return to the Moose where he is second on the team in scoring with 57 points (19-38-57) in 49 games played.

The 5'11", 187 lbs. native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, was signed by the Canucks as a free agent on June 19, 2006.
