Alumni to Play Abbotsford Police

On March 29, 2008, the Vancouver Canucks Alumni will take on the Abbotsford Police Thunderbirds hockey team, all in support of Special Olympics BC!

This game is organized by the BC Law Enforcement Torch Run (BC LETR), a group of law enforcement personnel who volunteer their time to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics BC. Since 1990, the BC LETR has raised over $2 million dollars for Special Olympics BC!

Special Olympics BC provides sport training and leadership programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in 55 communities across the province, including Abbotsford. SOBC programs. Participation in sports provides opportunities for athletes to increase physical fitness, develop social skills, cultivate friendships, strive for and achieve goals and increase their self-esteem – enabling athletes to win in sport, and in life.

DATE: Saturday March 29, 2008
TIME: Autograph session, $5, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Puck drops at 5:00pm
LOCATION: MSA Arena in Abbotsford, 2323 Emerson St.
TICKETS: $15 regular, $10 kids under 12, Kids 3 years and younger are free!
