MONTREAL – Here’s a numerical look at the preseason match-up between the Canadiens and the Stars at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night.

8 – Number of players in the lineup on Tuesday night making their Canadiens debuts, with Nathan Lawson, Jeff Woywitka, Alain Berger, Michael Blunden, Brian Willsie, Raphael Diaz, Erik Cole and Alexei Yemelin all taking part in their first-ever Habs training camp.

590 – Combined number of games played by Mike Ribeiro and Michael Ryder with the Canadiens during their careers, both of whom were in the Stars’ starting lineup on Tuesday night.

1,967 – Number of days since Ribeiro last set foot on Bell Centre ice, dating back to May 2, 2006 before the then-Habs winger was traded to Dallas later that summer.

1,262 – Number of games Jacques Martin has spent behind the bench as a head coach in the NHL throughout his 16-year career.

1 – Number of games Glen Gulutzan has spent behind the bench as a head coach in the NHL, getting his first-ever preseason game under his belt on Tuesday night.

25:36 – Amount of time needed for Erik Cole to light the lamp for his new team, getting the Habs on the board early in the second frame.

4:38 – Amount of time needed by Andrei Kostitsyn and Jeff Woywitka following Cole’s opening marker to give the Canadiens their second and third goals of the evening in the second period.
