The Numbers Game - Oct. 6, 2009

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
CALGARY -- Here’s a numerical look at the Canadiens-Flames showdown at the Saddledome on Tuesday night in Calgary.

100 – Times the Habs have faced the Flames since the franchise was born in Atlanta back in 1972. Montreal still holds a 54-29-14 all-time edge over the Flames.

0 – Games so far in his Canadiens career in which Mike Cammalleri hasn’t recorded a point, with the speedy winger having picked up an assist in all three of the Habs games this season, including his beauty feed to Scott Gomez in the first period to get the Habs on the board.

2 – Times Travis Moen has ever ridden a three or more game point streak in his career, with the gritty winger having strung together a four-game hot stretch last season with the Sharks.

6 – Game-high number of shots fired by Brian Gionta on the night.

1 – Minor penalties called in the game with Max Pacioretty spending two minutes in the box for hooking. Of the four fighting majors that were doled out, one included Kyle Chipchura’s first career NHL fight.

20 – Minimum minutes of ice-time logged by each member of the Habs’ top line of Gionta, Cammalleri and Gomez, with the trio playing more minutes than any other forward on either team.
