The Swiss forward played his first NHL game with the new number on Sunday night, a change from the number 58 worn during his most recent call up to the big leagues. Jarred Tinordi, who now wears number 24, was the last Canadien to wear number 42.

7 – The number of consecutive games Brendan Gallagher added his name to the scoresheet before the streak was snapped Sunday night, the longest point streak in his career eclipsing his previous career high of five games.

100 – Percentage of games against the Islanders this season that Tomas Fleischmann has earned at least one point, collecting an assist in the first matchup and adding goals in the second and third contests.

1027 – Number of days that have passed since Tomas Fleischmann scored the only other shorthanded goal of his career on January 29, 2013, as the Czech forward put the Canadiens ahead in the second period with his shorthanded marker.

5 – The number of consecutive wins on home ice to start the season for Carey Price, as the reigning league MVP has won his first five starts in front of the home crowd at the Bell Centre.
