MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at Thursday's game between the Canadiens and the Bruins.

1 – Thursday night’s tilt against the Boston Bruins marked Sergei Gonchar’s first game in a Canadiens uniform. The 40-year-old defenseman arrived in Montreal on Wednesday night after being acquired from the Dallas Stars in exchange for forward Travis Moen.

29 – Number of points Sergei Gonchar had registered in 65 career games against the Boston Bruins over the course of his two decades in the NHL entering Thursday night's game. Gonchar sported a Bruins uniform for 15 games during the 2003-04 campaign.

4 – Rank Carey Price now occupies on the Canadiens’ all-time games played list among goaltenders alongside Hockey Hall-of-Famer Bill Durnan. Price suited up for his 383rd game with the Habs on Thursday night at the Bell Centre.

24 – Number of fights Dale Weise has been engaged in over the course of his NHL career, including Thursday night’s one-on-one battle with Bruins forward Gregory Campbell early in the first period. It was the first time Weise and Campbell had ever squared off, and Weise definitely came out on top.

12 – Number of hits the Canadiens dished out in the first period alone on Thursday night against Boston. Weise, Gonchar, Brandon Prust, Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau, and Alexei Emelin chipped in with two hits each through 20 minutes of play, as the Habs outhit the Bruins by a 12-7 margin.

3 – Number of consecutive games in which Lars Eller has scored a goal, keeping that streak alive on Thursday night with a tally in the second period. It was Eller’s fifth goal of the 2014-15 campaign.

8 – Number of goals Max Pacioretty has scored thus far this season, adding to that tally with two markers on Thursday night. Pacioretty now leads the Canadiens in goals, two clear of Tomas Plekanec.

1 – Number of regular season Gordie Howe hat tricks Dale Weise has recorded over the course of his NHL career, the first of which came on Thursday night against the Bruins. After going toe-to-toe with Gregory Campbell, Weise scored on a penalty shot before adding an assist on Pacioretty's marker in the second frame.

Number of blocked shots defenseman Mike Weaver registered on Thursday night against Boston, tops among all players on both teams. It was a season-high for Weaver in that department. The rearguard had previously racked up five blocks against Philadelphia on October 11th.
