by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Rangers matinee matchup at the Bell Centre on Saturday afternoon.

14:15 – Ice time enjoyed by Alexandre Picard in the outing, filling in for flu-ridden blue-liner James Wisniewski after sitting out the past 10 games.

Highlights Canadiens - Rangers
1,449 – Number of days since Picard last dropped the gloves against an NHL opponent, dating back to a tilt with Aaron Ward on February 17, 2007. The Habs’ defenseman enjoyed his second career fight on Saturday afternoon, going toe-to-toe with Sean Avery in the first period.

75 – Percentage of current NHL players measuring under 5-foot-8 who were in the lineup at the Bell Centre on Saturday, including Brian Gionta, David Desharnais and Rangers rookie Mats Zuccarello.

32 – Number of goals scored by Scott Gomez during his two-year stint with the Rangers, turning the tables on his former team and scoring the game-winner for the Habs on Saturday afternoon.

38:34 – Time needed for Gomez to break the 0-0 tie, the latest opening goal of the season to date. The latest the Habs have had to wait to see either team get on the board so far in 2010-11 was previously 9:17 in the second period against the Leafs on November 20 when Jeff Halpern found the back of the net.

5 – Team-high number of hits thrown by rookie forward Lars Eller in the contest.

15 – Number of home wins registered by the Canadiens at the Bell Centre against the Rangers since the Habs won the very first game in the new building, a 4-2 win over New York on March 16, 1996.
