The Numbers Game - April 20, 2009

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
Here's a numerical look at Game 3 of the Habs-Bruins playoff series at the Bell Centre on Monday night.

1 – Times since 1984 that the winner of Game 3 in a Habs-Bruins playoff series has failed to go on to win the series, a span of 13 series. The Canadiens lost Game 3 last spring but still eliminated the Bruins in seven games.

71:54 – Minutes of playoff experience required by defenseman Yannick Weber to register his first career postseason point, notching a helper on Christopher Higgins’ first period marker on Monday night.

3 – Number of Habs players to have gotten their first taste of NHL playoff action this series, with Gregory Stewart being the latest youngster to do so.

21 – Hits thrown in the first period alone by the Habs, only seven shy of their total body checks dished out in Boston in Game 2.
