- During the ground-breaking ceremony to kick off the Tour des Canadiens condominiums project, Montreal Canadiens owner and President, Geoff Molson took the opportunity to announce that the Bell Centre’s Centennial Plaza will eventually be relocated to the other side of the building, adjacent to Windsor Courtyard. The new Centennial Plaza’s inauguration is currently slated to be held in 2016.

- Molson also took advantage of the occasion to praise the efforts of Canadiens GM, Marc Bergevin, and his accomplishments since taking over the post. Molson went on to state that he was happy with the progress his team has made over the course of their last season and believes the organization is indeed heading in the right direction.

- With the Canadiens still able to buy out one more contract during the current offseason after already having done so with Scott Gomez a few months ago, Molson also stated that while such decisions may be financially difficult, he will never hesitate to make them if the result is an improvement in the team.
