After missing the team’s last 21 with a lower body injury that’s been plaguing him for much of the season, Scott Gomez has been cleared for action and will be in the Canadiens lineup to face the Senators on Saturday night. Gomez will be playing left wing, flanking Tomas Plekanec. Michael Blunden is a likely possibility to round out the trio.
Rene Bourque took part in his first practice with the Canadiens’ Saturday morning. The power forward who will be wearing No. 27 for the Habs, will serve the final game of his suspension during his new team’s tilt with the Senators, but will be available to face the Rangers Sunday evening. After a long day of travel on Friday, Bourque finally arrived in Montreal around 9:30 p.m.
