BROSSARD - In today’s Habs notebook, Lapierre is ready to rock, Pouliot is a party-pooper and Dr. Metro prescribes what to do to beat his old team.
Don’t call it a comeback…
Primed for a return from serving his four-game suspension, Maxim Lapierre is just happy to be back.
“It was great to see the guys come together and get on a roll the way they have. They couldn’t have picked a more important time to get hot. I’m excited to be back on the ice and help the team keep this going. It’s always intense when we face the Bruins especially at this time of year. I really can’t wait to get out there tomorrow night.” Confidence police
With every reason to feel good about their current hot-streak and hold on a playoff spot in the East, the Habs would be wise not get too comfortable according to Benoit Pouliot.
“Without question our confidence is sky-high right now because of our winning streak, but we need to stay grounded. With the few games we have left before the playoffs we really can’t let this get to our heads. We can’t start thinking about many points we need to get in. We need focus on this a game at a time and we should be okay. All too familiar
Fresh off a convincing 4-1 win over Boston last week, former Bruin Glen Metropolit knows the B's better than most.
"They're right there with us in this tight race. We'll have to be ready. I think it all comes down to our speed and skill. If we keep skating the way we have since the Olympic break, hopefully we can keep this winning train we're on chugging along. But when these teams get together it's never easy or pretty.
