Daniel Audette got Team C off to a strong start in 4-on-4 action by lighting the lamp behind Zachary Fucale less than three minutes into the opening frame.
Two minutes later, though, Lukas Vejdemo capitalized on a penalty shot opportunity and beat Hayden Hawkey to tie things up 1-1 for Team A.
With just 96 seconds remaining in the period, Mikhail Sergachev scored on a penalty shot to give Team A the 2-1 lead, and ultimately a victory in the contest.
TEAM C: 4
TEAM A: 3
It took Michael McCarron just 17 seconds to get Team C on the board in Tuesday afternoon’s 3-on-3 contest against Team A, but Mikhail Sergachev replied to tie things up 1-1.
Maxime Fortier gave Team C a 2-1 lead, before Reid Duke knotted things up at two for Team A with a goal on Fucale.
McCarron scored his second goal of the game on a penalty shot, beating Fucalo five-hole to put Team C up 3-2, but Sergachev’s third goal of the day brought things back to even for Team A.
It was Markus Eisenschmid who scored the game-winner for Team C, benefiting from an empty net vacated by Fucale as Team A went for the win with an extra attacker.
TEAM B: 2
TEAM D: 1
Jake Evans’ goal with 3:40 remaining in the 4-on-4 contest lifted Team B to a 2-1 win over Team D on Tuesday afternoon.
Evans’ tally broke a 1-1 tie on goals by Team D’s Jeremiah Addison and Team B’s Karson Kuhlman.
TEAM D: 4
TEAM B: 1
Charles Hudon scored a pair of goals for Team D to pace them to a 3-1 win over Team B during the 3-on-3 portion of the contest.
Kody McDonald and Tom Parisi also scored for Team D, while Jake Evans registered the lone goal for Team B.
