MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens and Corus Québec jointly announced Thursday a new multi-year agreement for the French broadcast of Canadiens games on radio which will extend the long-term partnership through the end of the 2011-12 season.

"We are very pleased to renew our relationship with Corus Québec and CKAC Sports," said Pierre Boivin, President of the Montreal Canadiens. This agreement clearly demonstrates the confidence the Canadiens have in Corus Québec and our desire to share a solid business partnership for years to come. We are proud that our large number of Canadiens supporters throughout the province of Quebec will continue to have the opportunity to follow their favorite team though the game broadcasts on one of Corus' many stations for the next five years. "

"It is with a great sense of pride that Corus Québec, the leader in French language sports radio broadcasting in the province, announces it has renewed its broadcast agreement with the Montreal Canadiens," said Mario Cecchini, Vice-President of Corus Québec.

"This long time tradition between the two mainstream organizations that are the Montreal Canadiens and CKAC Sports will carry on. We are also pleased to announce that beyond the Canadiens broadcast on CKAC Sports, hockey fans will enjoy a simulcast of the games on Montreal's 98.5 FM as well as on Corus' network of FM stations throughout Quebec," added Cecchini.
