-Called up from the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday, Nathan Beaulieu was on the ice for the Canadiens Monday morning practice in Brossard as the team prepared for their Tuesday night game against the Washington Capitals.

-After suffering an injury to his left knee on Saturday night during the Habs’ tilt against the Bruins, Alexei Emelin was absent from the team’s morning skate. The Russian defenseman suffered a torn ligament in his knee and is not expected to return to the Canadiens’ lineup this season.

-Continuing his recovery from a concussion, Rene Bourque was on the ice once again for the Habs’ morning skate and was practicing on a line with Travis Moen and Jeff Halpern. The winger confirmed that he should play in his first game back against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.

-Following the Canadiens’ practice, defenseman Raphael Diaz hit the ice along with the team’s strength and conditioning coach Pierre Allard.
