64 players to attend the Montreal Canadiens Training Camp

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced today that 64 players will participate in the 2011-12 training camp. Players will report for physicals and medical exams at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Friday, September 16.

The Canadiens first on-ice session will take place at the Bell Sports Complex on Saturday, September 17. The training camp will run until Wednesday, October 5, in preparation for the season opener against the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre on Thursday, October 6.

The list of players invited to training camp includes 6 goaltenders, 23 defensemen and 35 forwards. The Canadiens completed their rookie camp today and all 31 participating players have been invited to the main camp.

Canadiens fans are invited to attend all practices at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, starting on September 17. Fans will have access to the stands for scrimmages on September 17-18-19.
