Toronto turnaround?

by Staff Writer / Boston Bruins
The Bruins are less than an hour a way from taking the ice versus the Toronto Maple Leafs and, we all hope, turning their momentum around after yesterday’s loss to Carolina.

At this point, the only one who know for sure who is in goal for the Bruins are the head coach and probably the starter, but Tim Thomas is the odds on favorite to take his place in front of the Bruins goal -- again, tonight.

When asked if he felt the weight of the franchise on his shoulders yesterday, Thomas was noncommittal.

"That’s what I am paid for," he said. "I get paid to play hockey, so I just do what I can, I think. We know that we are better than we showed today."

That being said, time is running short for the Bruins and tonight would be the perfect time to show what they are really made of.

In any case, there have been no more reports to me from T.O. so I am fairly certain that the first anyone will hear about lineups and injuries, as well as the team meeting that was reported in the Boston Globe will be on the NESN pre-game show at 6:30.

For his part, Head Coach Dave Lewis said this about the club, yesterday:
"The reason we were getting dominated…was because of our careless play with the puck. And it’s a situation where the guys are talking about it on the bench, but nothing seemed to alter the outcome…and then all of a sudden [the other team scores again]…they just saw how we played and capitalized on it. They outplayed us."
