BOSTON, MA – The Sports Museum announced that Bruins defenseman Torey Krug is part of the new All Star Team in the 2.0 version of Boston vs Bullies educational program. Boston vs Bullies is an award-winning educational program from The Sports Museum that leverages the power and example of Boston sports to help stop bullying in our schools and in our community. Other members of the Boston vs Bullies All Star Team include Mookie Betts (Boston Red Sox), Martin Bowes (Boston Cannons), Patrick Chung (New England Patriots), Andrew Farrell (New England Revolution), Kristie Mewis (Boston Breakers), Aly Raisman (Team USA Gymnastics), Cydney Ross (B.A.A. High Performance Team) and Evan Turner (Boston Celtics). Krug along with the other All Star Team members are featured in videos and other educational materials aimed towards stopping and preventing bullying.
Highlights of the new version of Boston vs Bullies include powerful personal stories from the Boston vs Bullies All Star Team, critical new information and strategies on cyberbullying, and an enhanced, user-friendly website (www.bostonvsbullies.org) with educational tools and program assets. According to a recent study, one out of every four kids gets bullied in school. With a school-based bullying prevention program such as Boston vs Bullies, this bullying decreases by more than 25%.
