Boston, MA – On Thursday November 8th at the Greatest Bar the Boston Bruins Foundation and Charity Wines hosted over 100 people for the much-anticipated launch of the “Hat Trick Cellars” wines.
The wines, appropriately named “Bourque Merlot” and “Cambernet”, after Bruins legends Ray Bourque and Cam Neely and who are featured on their respective labels, are available for sale through charitywines.com and throughout New England at your favorite stores.
A portion of the sales form each bottle will go to benefit Neely’s “Cam Neely House for Cancer Care” and Bourque’s “Celebrities for Charity.” Both organizations, along with the Boston Bruins Foundation, support children’s programs.
Along with Ray and Cam, Bob Sweeney, Director of Development for the Boston Bruins Foundation was on hand to offer his thoughts on the wine.
“When we first started talking to Charity Wines about a potential Bruins wine launch it was very important to all the parties involved to add a legitimate face to the product, so when Cam and Ray agreed to come on board it really made it a great product that could really earn some serious money for the charities.”
When asked about the wine launch Cam Neely offered, “We have done many great things with the Cam Neely House, but it’s promotions like these that continue to allow us to raise more funds and support some of the great programs we offer.”
The “Bourque Merlot” features enticing aromas of black plums, blackberries, cassis, bing cherries, and espresso, this merlot pairs perfectly with many foods with it silky and rich cherry flavors and hints of chocolate.
While the “Cambernet” is rich and ripe with enticing flavors of currant, blackberry and creamy chocolate oak. This full-bodied Cabernet has notes of spice and tobacco and moderate tannins on the finish.
