The Andrew Alberts Report: A Nice Surprise

by Andrew Alberts / Boston Bruins
In what was certainly a nice suprise, Andrew Alberts (who is working through a possible bout with post-concussion syndrome) wrote in. Thank you for the early present, Andrew! JB

Hey everyone, I ended up with some (unexpected) time on my hands, and I am feeling good enough to hit the keyboard. So here is a quick movie review and a Top-20 Christmas Special/Movie List...

Double A gives it 4.5 Stars!
My Latest Movie Review:

Starring: Will Smith, Alice Braga, Charlie Tahan, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield
Directed By: Francis Lawrence
Released By: Warner Bros.
Run Time: 100 min.
Genre: Action and Adventure, Science Fiction, Drama, New Release
Rating: PG-13

The rundown: Will Smith plays Dr. Robert Neville, a world-renowned scientist, trying to stop the outbreak of an unstoppable virus. This man-made virus was first believed to cure cancer, but in time the virus begin to cause awful mutations and eventually overblown rabies like symptoms. Neville, immune to the virus, has for three years sent out radioed daily distress messages on all open channels in search of any other living humans. But he is reluctant to leave NYC, ground zero, in search of others. Day after day he goes through his routine to live, survive and stay safe from The Infected. Neville believes that he is mankind's last hope, thus he continues his work in an effort to find a way to reverse the effects of the evil virus through the use of his own immune blood. It's a personal race against time and the plague to save human civilization.

The Bottom line: I loved the movie. It was very entertaining and very different from anything I have ever seen before. I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars! It's a great flick so check it out between Bruins games or when we are on break next week!
