On Thursday, August 20 Bruins forward Shawn Thornton
, his wife Erin, and Plymouth, MA native Kevin Cottle will cook a special dinner for 220 homeless veterans at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Boston from 3:45 - 5:45 p.m. ET (17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108).
The Thorntons and Cottle will begin preparing the dinner at the shelter at 3:45 p.m. Once the meal is ready, they will serve it to the veterans and have a meet and greet with each.
This event is open to the media and the Bruins encourage those members of the press who are interested to arrive at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans at 3:45 p.m.
Cottle, who grew up in Plymouth, MA and now resides in Middleton, CT, is an internationally acclaimed chef whose professional culinary journey has taken him to kitchens from Philadelphia to Colorado to New England. He is currently the Executive Chef at the Country Club in Farmington (CT). Prior to holding his current position, Cottle presided over the openings of the fine dining restaurants at the award winning Wequasset Resort and Golf Club in Cape Cod.
