The Bruins took practice at Ristuccia a little after noon today.
All were present on the ice, with the exception of Jason York, injured but selling cookies for his daughter’s scout troop (coconut caramel and peanut butter chocolate) to anyone he could catch in his hobbled condition, Stan Chistov -- present, but not skating and Andrew Alberts who was given a day off, but was in the arena working out.
So, what is the status on the patients Dr. Dave Lewis?
"Chistov is not making the trip. York is (out) 2-to-4 weeks, it’s a sprain…(Albie was just a little sore so we gave him the day off," explained Lewis. "He’ll be ready to go tomorrow."
According to the Bruins head coach, Tim Thomas

An unnamed forward, choosing a new helmet and tinkering with the sizing, ventured around the locker room with his new brain bucket on, ostensibly to check its feel and weight.
Instead, to at least two writers’ amazement, he meandered into the shower room -- to check it out in the mirror as if it were a tux on prom night or a new hairdo.
What is that old saying? Look good, play good. Ha. Ha.
I have to head out (fire drill). More later…
